Mondialement rendue célèbre par la série Buffy Contre Les Vampires, Sarah Michelle Gellar est une actrice Américaine qui a débuté sa carrière à l'âge de quatre ans dans une publicité pour Burger King. À 18 ans elle remporte un Emmy Award pour son rôle dans le feuilleton La Force du Destin puis à 20 ans embarque pour sept saisons de Buffy (1997). La même année elle tourne dans le film d'horreur Souviens-toi l'été dernier où elle rencontre l'acteur Freddie Prinze Jr. qui deviendra quelques années plus tard son mari et le papa de ses enfants, ensemble ils tourneront même dans l'adaptation au cinéma du célèbre dessin animé Scooby-Doo (2002) et sa suite (2004). Parmi ses autres succès au cinéma on notera Scream 2 (1997), l'adaptation des liaisons dangereuses Sexe Intentions (1999) ou encore The Grudge (2004). Sarah a également cofondé la société Foodstirs.

Sarah Michelle Gellar ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin. Bekannt wurde sie durch die Rolle der Buffy Summers in der Fernsehserie Buffy - Im Bann der Dämonen (1997–2003) sowie durch die Filme Ich weiß, was du letzten Sommer getan hast (1997), Eiskalte Engel (1999), 2002 Kinohit Scooby Doo (und 2004 auch in der Fortsetzung Scooby Doo 2 - Die Monster sind los zu sehen) und The Grudge - Der Fluch (2004). Sarah ist seit dem 1. September 2002 mit dem Schauspieler Freddie Prinze Jr. Seit dem 19. September 2009 haben die beiden eine Tochter, im September 2012 wurde ihr gemeinsamer Sohn geboren. Sarah Michelle ist für die von ihr 2015 mitgegründete Firma Foodstirs tätig, die Backmischungen verkauft.
